People’s lives in African countries before decolonization was slavery and a life filled with bondage. There was poor economic development in the African countries and invasions by foreign enemies subjected the countries to various forms of misuse and poverty. There was also plenty of illnesses and diseases, famines and other disasters going on at the time. The main invaders were the Europeans who occupied the African countries for its rich natural resources, manual labor and took advantage of its under developed status even more.
